Days Of Wisdom

          January, a month of wisdom. There I learned some renaissance, the diversity of life.

I felt some honor and self esteem on what diversity is. It delivered me to the deep part

f my thought. Difference made beautiful, it forced me with pleasure to thank to God for

the gift. Now I realized that God never made anything without it's purpose. I believed

to God.

Thank You for The Differences Between Us

If somebody ask me on what diversity is, then my wisest answer is “Diversity is something as beautiful as the photo above”. The interaction between these two beings, the butterfly and flowers which are differing from each other, showed that the difference creates amazing interactions between living things. As in our earth, there are types, colors, religions, races, ethnicities, cultures, cold bloods, hot bloods, and all things, which are different. If there is no difference, then this world will be so frightening. Have you ever imagined if the entire world animal is only mosquitoes?
As implied in the photo above, the differences caused the interaction between one and another. Butterfly taking nectar from the flowers, and the flowers got a pollen transporter to the pistil of flowers, and then the flowers will reproduce again, producing more honey and other things which will benefit for other living things. If there is no difference, then there will be no beautiful symbiotic as between butterflies with the flowers.
Diversity is what makes this world beautiful and full of colors, which for me is as my teacher in the life sciences, teaching about those interactions and the essence of the unity of life. Just as I've experienced in dormitory, the cultural and skills differences between me and my friends has led me to complement each other’s weaknesses, and made it as a unity of power. 
That is what called as diversity, which needs to be praised, so all will live in peace of unity.

Resolution

"What is the essence of long life?"

"What is the noble morality?"

"What is true love which is blessed by Allah?"

              Those questions are welcoming this new year 2013, a year which will be the year of soft harmony in my life. This life is a gift from Allah so thank to Allah for giving me the opportunity to worship and study this life. Rasulullah said that the most fortunate people are those who get better from yesterday. Therefore, in this new year, I want to be a better human being, which is useful not only for myself, but for others too.

Maybe I would describe my resolution in two words, the words that are so beautiful:

"Akhlakul Karimah"

“Servants of Allah the most beloved of his depraved is the best of them (Sahih Al-Jami ': 179)”

             Here, it is so beautiful, and it has been taught by Rasulullah with his holy behaviours. With all wisdom, and softness, he can be a good person who changed a people who so in destruction to be a people who are so fortunate.

          

             It comes from the heart, which will lead to the inner peace for those who receive it. The relationship between humanity and God, between humanity and others, and between humanity and the natural environment  will be so harmonious. Thus, we will know what the meaning of life, why we were created, and what we should do. This is the essence of a life journey, which continues to run under the auspices of space and time.

           

             In this resolution, I can only intend. Everything going to happen next, whether it is in line with this desire or not, I believe that's the best way, because I believe Allah will show us the best way for humanity.

North Korea Nuclear Program Against United States and South Korea

          Indeed nuclear weapon is a weapon that is not meant to be used by a well honorable country. It does because these weapons can destroy the military balance and the life cycle of this world. We do not want to live underground, no one wanted for it. But North Korea said different with its nuclear program. Actually, if viewed from the intent and the purpose of raising nuclear weapon program, North Korea have oriented to the power that will certainly cause damages by its nuclear test. As proclaimed in the New York Times, "North Korea had no interest in talks on denuclearizing itself and would forge ahead with its missile and weapons development, with the goal of attaining the capability to hit American territory", North Korea intent to the expansion to America territory. With its destruction possibility, its meant that nuclear program need to be stopped or monitored thoroughly.

          In the CNN Headline News, titled "After threats against the U.S., North Korea turns ire to South", South Korea is actively involved in the termination of the nuclear program. "North Korea on Friday warned of the possibility of strong physical counter-measures against South Korea after the United Nations imposed sanctions against the North Tougher Earlier this week." North Korea intends to respond to the physical and weapons invasion to South Korea if they intervene in the termination of the program. This indicates that North Korea has a strong will to create a nuclear program proved they dare to oppose the two countries known as a strong state. This indicated that we should be aware of the possibilities that possibly arise in the future.

          For the United States, a new threat over North Korea could distract American focus on superior threat Iran over its disputed nuclear program, which having contradictory by the Iranians which said it is peaceful but West suspects it as growing threat in order to develop nuclear weapons. North Korea could be the second warning that must be focused.

          Not only direct warnings given, as stated in Yahoo News, South Korean defense ministry officials said this week that they believe the North could follow through with its threat to detonate a nuclear explosive at any time, and U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said that even if there are no signs that a test is forthcoming, "They have the capability, frankly, to conduct these tests in a way that make it very difficult to Determine Whether or not they are doing it,." This indicates that the threat level of North Korea has become yellow. Yet, if we look from the experiences and relations of North Korea with other countries, it is could be said as a certain that North Korea is having too weak foundation. In addition, their past nuclear tests have been conducted to give the appearance of performance, and they have never exploded an actual nuclear warhead design, According to RAND analyst Mark Schiller.

          In the case of the nuclear weapons program, North Korea does not have any affiliation with any other countries so we can said if North Korea launches a nuclear attack to a country, it is a suicide because North Korea does not have supports, and it is certain that North Korea will fail and defeated against United Nation. Therefore we can conclude that we should not be afraid of the nuclear threat, it's just that we need to be vigilant and keep having monitor on the activities conducted by North Korea so if there is one thing that is not desired, then we have prepared and ready to face the invasion. But all of it may be changes, if North Korea getting on deals with Iran in their Nuclear Program.

If I Am a Scientist

            Being a scientist may sound as something less required in Indonesia. With salary not as much as entrepreneur, it is not easy to survive only with a capital of just being a scientist. However, for me it is not a significant obstacle. My mindset has stated that being a scientist must be based on the heart, not from the material.

            Moving by the heart is the principle that I use when being a scientist. Maybe I would be more likely to gravitate to physical scientists. For me physics is fun because there are a lots of phenomenon that tend to be created as a fun game. Making things move, making things float, fly, go into space, are the things that impressed me of physics science. Furthermore, at the end of this century there is a new science,  quantum physics. These things increased my faith to the almighty God, and that is what attracted me to become involved in one of those addicted to physics.

            With the heart and knowledge plus imagination to become a scientist, I will create programs that hone the research spirit in the young generation. An example is the Research Camp program where concept will be held a competition for young people to test themselves in terms of research. The benefits derived from this program is not only getting better science research quality, but also the social sciences and the link which there will be many prospective scientists who met and barter their links with other scientists in Indonesia and International. What are the benefits to me? It is that satisfaction because by that program, I will fell to have some clone of myself so I can feel young again. 

            Besides these programs, maybe it is better if I try to make some works of innovation and invention to solve the problems that occur around my residence. Perhaps an example is to create a healthy sewer system that can serve as a source of fertilizer. Thus, what I got is utilized sewer plus a good relationship with the neighbors. It also inspired me to create these works and become scientist.

            The last thing I underlies as the primary motivator to become a scientist is to realize my dream project. A project that will brings me into the atmosphere which is like what I dreamed of as a child. Dream big, even with limited financial, I am sure can be realized since we move with heart. This is the thing that gives me life spirit and getting closer to Allah, the almighty power.
